Terms of Trade & Shipping Information

Trading Policy:

Customer satisfaction a priority, and we will do whatever is reasonably feasible to ensure we can send you products that you will be 100% happy with. Please contact us if you are unhappy and we will make arrangements to credit or exchange your goods. Unfortunately, we cannot refund or exchange leaflets and chartpacks (for copyright reasons), or custom cut fabric.

All returns or exchanges must be made within 14 days of receiving your order and you are responsible for the return postage. Please return product with the original packaging, including tags attached. No credit or exchange will be given for product that has been damaged or altered (e.g. re-dyed or cut, or fabric that has been used to stitch on).

Goods and Services Tax (GST):

Prices are displayed with and without Goods and Services Tax (GST).

The GST-exclusive price applies to products that are shipped directly from us to an overseas address. Any products shipped to a New Zealand address will be charged at the GST-inclusive price.

The GST rate is $15% and this applies to both the goods and postage for items going to an address in NZ.

Ordering and Shipping:

We are located in New Zealand, and ship world-wide. Hand-dyed fabrics are dyed to order, so these can often be customised to meet your specific needs - including making colours darker or lighter or custom-sized pieces for specific projects. No stock of hand-dyed fabric is held, so there will be a delay in sending these products - how much of a delay will depend on a number of factors, including other orders waiting to be dyed.

The easiest way to order is to use our secure online shopping cart - this method is recommended if you are outside New Zealand as the shopping cart software will capture the information we need to process your payment when your goods are ready to ship (see below).

You can email orders to us at if you live in New Zealand and are paying by online bank transfer. 

Payment Terms:

Payment is not usually required until your goods are ready to ship. In some cases, a deposit may be required - particularly when your order is large or includes specially-ordered items. Goods will be shipped once payment is received.

New Zealand customers are welcome to pay by online bank transfer - you will be notified when your order is ready to ship or when a part-payment is required, and details of the bank account will be sent to you by email, along with the reference details you need to use. Please don't pay until this is requested, and when it is requested please pay promptly. 

Cards accepted are Visa and MasterCard. Debit cards can, however, be problematic, so please have a credit card on standby just in case. We use secure technology, including data encryption, to capture card information. Card information is not stored unless you specifically agree to this.


We do not share your information with anyone else, and your information will only be used for the purposes of fulfilling product orders, answering enquiries and sending information to you. Any mailing lists are not for sale and will only be used to communicate directly with you.
