Kowhai

The fresh yellow of the kowhai (pronounced ko-fye) flowers. The kowhai tree flowers in spring and heralds summer's arrival, attracting nectar drinking birds to its blossom-laden branches.

DMC approximation is 3822/3823 on linen and paler than 677 on evenweave. 

This colour works well on all available fabrics, with linen giving the brightest results. Lugana, other evenweaves and Aida give paler (more muted) results.
