Firecracker

Bright red that is just like the paper wrapping on traditional Chinese firecrackers. This fabric is very red - devilishly so - and is a yellow-based red. For a blue-based red, see Red Hot Poker.

DMC approximation is 666 on linen and 3705 on evenweave.

This colour works well on all available fabrics, with linen giving the brightest results. Lugana, other evenweaves and Aida give paler (more muted) results.
