Speculaas

Warm and spicy brown - like the Dutch cookies of the same name.

This colour was created specifically with 'gingerbread' designs in mind, and the linen option gives a better (in our view) look and feel if that's the effect you are wanting. It is the fabric used in Just Nan's exclusive for ABC Stitch Therapy - Gingerbread Needlecase - at the EGA convention in Phoenix, AZ in 2014.

DMC approximation is between 167 and 420 on linen, and approximately 3064 on evenweaves.

This colour works well on all available fabrics, with linen giving the brightest results. Lugana, other evenweaves and Aida give paler (more muted) results.
