Pumice

Sandy pumice stone ... grey-brown. Pumice stone can be found in abundance in the rivers flowing from the volcanoes in the central North Island, and can often be found on the beaches at the mouths of these rivers.

DMC approximation is greyer than 648 on linen and similar to 453 on evenweave.

This colour works well on all available fabrics, with linen giving the brightest results. Lugana, other evenweaves and Aida give paler (more muted) results.
